    Bilingual clinical psychologist.

    Born in Costa Rica. In addition to operating a private psychology practice, he served as a bridge among parents, school and community at a Title 1 school in Lakewood, Colorado.

  • Carmen Melinda Gutierrez

    Carmen M. Gutiérrez is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado.

    She is a therapist specializing in Relational Trauma, Culture and Mental Health Status Evaluations for immigration purposes. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University in Colorado.

    Dr. Gomez is a bilingual mental health therapist. She holds an active License for Professional Counseling as well as a number of invaluable certificates relating to Mental Health and Trauma in a clinical setting.

  • Darlene Brace

    Darlene is a bi-lingual in Spanish and English Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

    Her passion for working with people continued as she pursued a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver, and graduated in 2008. In addition to her professional tittle as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), she is a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).

    She has been trained in Acudetoxification Specialist NADA (ADS), Registered Yoga Teacher- 200 hours (RYT), Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CATP), Canine Activities Intervention Specialist, Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist, who is trained in DBT skills, Synergetic Play Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Individual & Couples Therapy.

    Darlene is well experienced in providing training and workshops around various topics. She an adjuct professor for University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work.

    Construyendo has worked with Darlene and brings her very close to its heart since Darlene is a former resident of Durango, CO. We are looking forward to have her again this year during our Mental Health awareness months.
